Mission

Archventures is a grassroots organization whose mission is to serve nonprofits and public projects in urban underserved communities through green design. We act as an organizer of skilled professionals and dedicated volunteers to meet the needs of local neighborhoods and their most critical stakeholders, grassroots nonprofits that provide human services. As a catalyst for social change and public discourse, we seek to address practical problems through architecture and green design.

Introducing Archventures

Community-based nonprofits serve as the "glue" of low-income neighborhoods and play a leading role in mitigating social problems like gang violence, homelessness and substance abuse. Today, these organizations are struggling to fill that role in our society due to skyrocketing demand for services and severe financial setbacks. Asa a result, funds are rarely available for the capital improvement, especially the "greening" of community and office space. For many of these organizations, improved infrastructure lags behind urgent programming needs as a priority exposing clients and staff to unsuitable and unhealthy conditions.

Archventures partners with these urban nonprofits, who provide crucial services in low-income communities despite infrastructural challenges. Archventures operates the organizing, designing and building of green improvement projects and strives to establish a network of nonprofits in which collaboration and coalitions are possible. Through a dynamic community building experience nonprofits will benefit from a healthier, more productive environment and a capacity to achieve greater social impact.
